Spanish Hacienda

This vintage 1920’s Hacienda-style Spanish residence on 2 acres has been home to the owners for over 30 years. Originally a smaller, one-story home, it was expanded in the 1990s by architect Mark Appleton.

Commissioned by the owners to update the gardens, APLD has spent several years editing and adding new plantings in keeping with the original spirit of the home. We have complimented the existing gardens with a palette of tropicals, succulents, many types of trees and fruit trees, and classic rose gardens.

A long circular driveway leads to the home. Pathways and staircases lead through the rear of the property to pool, tennis court and entertaining patios.

This classic California Spanish revival home will be featured in photographer Melba Levick’s Casa Pacifica to be published by Rizzoli.
